  5. ║               Apologies are a selfish contribution,                     ║
  6. ║               no-one yet has an honest solution.                        ║
  7. ║               A way to justify what has been done,                      ║
  8. ║               but leaves the victim feeling undone.                     ║
  9. ║                                                                         ║
  10. ║               Intentions are good, not meant to pain.                   ║
  11. ║               But to the hurt, it adds only strain.                     ║
  12. ║               The feelings are lost, half-hearted at best.              ║
  13. ║               Sometimes you understand, more or less.                   ║
  14. ║                                                                         ║
  15. ║               No chance given to work things out.                       ║
  16. ║               To give up is typical, on the first doubt.                ║
  17. ║               No-one tries to put things right.                         ║
  18. ║               No-one bothers to put up a fight.                         ║
  19. ║                                                                         ║
  20. ║               So I'll sit back and swallow my pride.                    ║
  21. ║               Ignore what was, and my feelings inside.                  ║
  22. ║               But when all is said and done,                            ║
  23. ║               I have to admit, it was fun.                              ║
  24. ║               Only now don't talk with me,                              ║
  25. ║               I want to keep the good memories.                         ║
